Fast Food Near School Means Fatter Kids

There are 530 calories, 18 grams of fat, and 2/3 of the daily value of cholesterol in a bacon, egg, and cheese from Dunkin Donuts. But Diana Blanco eats the big breakfasrt sandwich four times a week because the restaurant is near her school. Studies show that kids who attend schools with a fast food restaurant one-tenth of a mile away are 5.2 percent more likely to be obese.
